Moonlight Rainbow Books is an online shop showcasing a carefully curated range of captivating picture books, guaranteed to have the grown-ups asking for 'just one more bedtime story!' too.
I love picture books. I loved them before I had kids and love them (but in a different way) since having kids. My Mum claims we have an 'obscene' number of books in the house. If pushed, I suppose I would admit that we have more than average...
I believe that a (good) picture book can be appreciated by all ages and that you don't need to have a child (or pretend to have a child for fear of being ridiculed!) to buy one. As an adult, I had a collection of picture books long before I had children.
One day, when daydreaming about what I would call my own book store, I asked my daughter what she would name a bookshop? (My daughter is 6 and has an imagination that is infinitely better than mine and an answer for everything. EVERYTHING!) Initially she replied 'But I don't want a bookshop?' So once we got over that she said, without looking up from her drawing, 'Moonlight Rainbows then because they're special and rare and I want to see one one day and the shop could have lots of books about rainbows and space because I like those things...and unicorns too.' and I thought, well that's the name then.
